Venturia vs. Fusicladium

My thought is that Venturia is an important name to plant pathologists and we should use it. One question: are the respective type species congeneric? Superificially, this appears to be so as the type of Venturia is V. inaequalis and the type of Fusicladium is F. virescens, the asexual state of V. pyri.

Anyone know something abou tthis?
